First things first. What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? And why do you want to jump on it quickly?
The Nordstrom Anniversary sale happens once a year, in mid-summer. And it’s when Nordstrom marks down thousands of items to get us all prepped and ready for fall!
Essentially, this sale is an end-of-summer shopping spree where you can get a head start on your fall wardrobe at seriously discounted prices with the amazing quality that Nordstrom offers!
Each summer, Nordstrom releases a sale preview with amazing items including women’s fall fashion, activewear, kids back to school, men’s, jewelry, shoes, accessories, beauty and so much more! The sale is structured by giving cardmembers early access and then releasing access to the public at later dates!

When is the Nordstrom anniversary sale?
Here are the important dates that you’re going to want to remember if you want to make the most of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
Icon Early Access: July 6th
Ambassador Early Access: July 7th
Influencer Early Access: July 9th
Open to Everyone: July 14th
Prices Increase: July 31st
For anyone who is new to the #NSale, you need a Nordstrom Card if you want to shop before everyone else. The start date of when you can shop depends on your status level. The higher your status = the earlier you can shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
Public access (AKA you can shop WITHOUT a Nordstrom Card) will run from July 15th to July 31st.
What time is the Nordstrom sale live?
The 2022 Nordstrom sale starts for the general public on the 14th of July 2022. You can shop the Anniversary Sale online starting at 9:01 pm PT on July 14/12:01 am ET on July 15 or in-person during regular store hours.
Keep in mind that the sale lasts for 17 days, but items WILL sell out as this is the biggest sale that Nordstrom has all year.
How do I know my Nordstrom Card Member Status?
If you’re a current Nordstrom cardholder, you just have to log in to your account to check your card status. The Nordstrom Card status levels are Icon, Ambassador, and Influencer.
Why is the Nordstrom Anniversay sale so popular?
The Nordstrom sale is so popular because it’s the only time of year that Nordstrom runs a sale like this, on so many items at once. We all know and love Nordstrom, and I will always vouch for the quality of everything I’ve gotten at Nordstrom. So having a chance to shop our favorite brands at these prices is amazing.
If you’ve been eyeing a leather jacket or perfect pair of fall boots, this is genuinely the only time you’ll find that for these prices from Nordstrom.
Once you’ve shopped the sale one year, you’ll come back every year and start saving your own ‘wish list’ of items you hope to get.
If this is your first time shopping the #NSale I want to help you make the most of it! I’ve shopped and covered the Nordstrom Sale for my audience for several years now, and today I’m sharing my top tips to keep the sale FUN and not overwhelming (which trust me, it can be!).
Here are my tips to keep the sale fun and less overwhelming!
- Browse the preview first and make a list of the things you want to snag! A list and a plan are key so you don’t get overwhelmed with all the items!
- If you don’t already have the Nordstrom Card – Consider grabbing it for early access! I’m telling you if you LOVE it, other people will too and it will sell out! Also. The Cardmember perks are pretty amazing! If you shop at Nordstrom regularly it’s a must-have!
- The best way to shop the sale, in my opinion, is online! Who doesn’t like shopping at home in their jammies! #Amiright?? Once the sale is live you can shop online here. Also. ProTip: Check out more than once if you’re buying a lot of items! Just letting things sit in your cart while you browse will result in sold-out items! Not fun!
- This is probably the most important thing! Remember that you don’t HAVE to buy anything. This sale can get a little crazy and have people buying things just because someone else did or because everyone else is. Believe me, I’ve gotten caught up in the FOMO and spent money on things I didn’t really want or need…. All this to say that although I’m sharing a ton of items – not buying anything is A-OK! 🙂
