Now let’s start with the basics. What is a brand sponsorship? A brand sponsorship is when you promote a brand or product to your audience and the brand pays you for the content you create. It’s the equivalent of getting paid to post on Instagram and coincidently is also the number one question I get asked about becoming an Influencer.
The next question I get asked the most is… How many followers do you need to have in order to land a brand sponsorship? Well, the short answer is, that there is no minimum number of followers you need to have to get sponsored. I know, I know, vague… Keep reading and I’ll give you more concrete answers.
How many followers do you need to get sponsored?
I already said above that this post is meant to help you land brand sponsorships, no matter how many followers you have right now, but let’s face it. You’re still probably asking yourself exactly how many followers you need to make $$$ on Instagram.
Mirco-Influencers are really stealing the spotlight when it comes to brand sponsorships in 2022. And a Micro-Influencer is someone with anywhere from 10k up to 50k followers on Instagram. (I know that’s a big range! Learn more about Micro-Influencers here.)
Here’s the thing…
YUP. Let’s say it louder for the people in the back. You don’t need to have a certain amount of followers to start getting brand sponsorships. What matters more is that your followers are engaged, that they trust you, and that you’ve built up a relationship with them.
