How to get paid brand deals
When you’re starting to look for paid brand deals, you’ll first make a list of all the brands that you have around your house, that you already use and love. Whenever you’re selling something to your audience, you want it to come across authentically. You’ve spent time building up trust with your audience, so make sure that you’re not losing that trust by promoting products that your audience won’t use and love.
What I mean is, don’t sell your soul and your trust with your audience for every fab, fit, fun box and skinny tea that’s willing to throw $25 or worse, A GIFT CARD your way.
Instead, finding brands you already love and use every day is the perfect way to start landing paid brand deals. Once you know what brands you love and use every day, pitch them!
Pitching brands you already know, use, and love
What I recommend is to create a spreadsheet with all of the brands you have at home that you’d love to work with. Then start digging. You need to find a contact for that brand that you can reach out to. Maybe that’s someone who’s in charge of Influencer Marketing, or maybe the brand has a PR team. You can dig through their website, contact pages, and LinkedIn pages for the brand.
Once you have the name and email of the person you want to contact, add that information to the spreadsheet. Then you’re going to do a little bit more research and find out if those brands have worked with any influencers in the past. You can get inspiration from content and campaigns they’ve collaborated with in the past.
By finding the influencers that they’ve worked with in the past, you can also see what other brands those influencers have worked with, and start to build a list of possible collaborations bigger than what you already use and love. This will give you an idea of what similar brands your audience might like to see from you.

There are plenty of ways that you can promote a paid brand deal on Instagram. You can talk about the product in stories and share that to a story highlight for higher impact. Or you can create a Reel or Infeed post that shares more about the brand either in the video or the caption.
