Can you believe it’s October?! I’m still wondering where the heck the last six months has gone… We are super excited for the Holiday Season! There’s just something about October that signifies the beginning of the Holidays you know!?!
We’re big Halloween fans in our house! The kids love to decorate, love to plan their costumes, and they get so excited for Halloween night with family and friends! My favorite thing by far is the decor! I love to pick a space and really transform it into something fun!
Typically I decorate the front porch and my fireplace/mantle area but this year I decided to forgo the mantle and do the entryway instead! I’m so glad I did this because I wanted the decor to make a big impact! One of the best ways to make a statement with seasonal decor is to concentrate on a few key areas of your home rather than sprinkling a little here and a little there. The entry is a great place to focus as people will likely see it more when you open your door over and over to trick or treaters or guests!
I’ve collected most of my decor over the years from places like Target, Hobby Lobby, Home Goods, as well as unique things I find at antique stores or markets! I did my best to link the exact items but also linked items that are very similar that can give you the same look as what I have!
For instance, the wreath below is custom made by my friend Lauren! Her items are one of a kind but she has lots of similar things in her Esty Shop! She’s been so kind to offer my readers $10 off of anything in her shop! Just click the link above and the discount will be applied for you!
I’ve also linked a few other wreaths that I LOVE below!
Also! Wanted to share some quick decorating tips on how to style an entry table for the Holidays!
Halloween Entry Table Styling Tips
- Remember the rule of three! Most things look best in three’s. So think end, middle, end when styling a tablescape.
- Remember to vary heights! You can stack things, lean things, or even take your decor onto or up the wall to add interest.
- Use books! Books are great to add bulk to a tablescape. I like to take the covers off and find colors that work with my decor. For my design below I found a few books that were black that worked perfectly for my Halloween table!
- Give it time! Decorating can be fun but it can get frustrating if you try to rush it. I like to pull out all of my decor and let it sit for a day or two. Eventually, inspiration will hit and I’m in the mood to dive in!
Enjoy!
