School started this week for us, and I couldn’t wait to share some of the styles my girls picked out this year. Rylee is 12 (almost 13, actually!), and Ava is 11, and man, do they have different styles! LOL. Both are pretty sporty, but Rylee will still wear a skirt from time to time, and Ava, well, good luck getting her in anything girly! I love how they’re each finding their style and individuality now, and it doesn’t hurt having two little built-in shopping buddies!
This year we tried to focus on mix-and-match pieces, kinda like a capsule wardrobe. Pieces that can be interchangeable and all work well together! It makes it so much easier when everything goes with everything, and you can eliminate the “MOMMMM” “where’s my ___________ top!?!” “It’s the only thing that goes with __________ pants/skirt/shorts etc.” I mean, I get it, but I’m all about making things as easy as possible in the AM. For my sanity and theirs, let’s just buy things that all work together, ya know! 🙂

Where We Shop for Back to School
This year we hit up American Eagle for most of our haul, Nordstrom Rack for shoes, Abercrombie for a few staples, and Target for Accessories! We kept it simple with lots of denim, graphic tees, leggings, and pullovers! Also, if you haven’t hit up Nordstrom Rack for shoes, you are missing out! The prices are great, and they have a huge selection! Both girls, as well as myself, snagged some great finds!
