EEK! I am so excited to share our Halloween decor with Y’all! My girls have been begging to get started on our decorating for about a month already! So, I finally gave in this week and we did it!

Now, I’ll be honest. Halloween has not always been my favorite holiday to decorate for because, well, we just never had that many decorations. I buy tons of Christmas decor, but I’ve never really been one to stock up on Halloween decor. But! The girls have been asking to do “scary” decorations for a couple of years now, and while I like more fun and cute fallish look, I totally gave in, and we compromised on a little of both! I’m so glad I did because it turned out so cute!

I’m sure you know that decorations can get really expensive really quick and we were not wanting to spend an arm and a leg on strictly Halloween decor that would be up for just one month. So, I tried to focus on things that I could repurpose and/or would also work as fall pieces too. This way they could get more use by us pulling them out mid-September and letting some of them hang around into November for turkey day!

So, I had a plan and a budget and headed off to Target. The land of “Oh hey lady, you can go ahead and leave your plan and budget in the car…. My name’s Target and I have my own plans for you and your shopping cart! LOL

All jokes aside…. We actually did stick to the plan and came in under budget! Yay!!

So with that….. I hope you enjoy our Fall/Halloween decor reveal as much as we enjoyed putting it together for ya!

OK, first up are these adorable skeleton dogs! Y’all. They are so cute!! Oh… wait. I mean scary! LOL. 🙂 If you follow me over on Instagram then you probably saw that Ava, my youngest, totally named these two Howler and Growler! How cute are they are the porch?!?!

Next up is this rug situation! We have a huge double front door so a small rug just won’t work! I knew I wanted to get the Happy Fall rug but wasn’t sure how I was going to make it fill my space. But then…. I found this super cute black and white geometric throw rug, and I knew right away I could layer them up for the perfect pop of color!

Keeping with our theme of a little bit of Halloween and a little bit of Fall, we added a tombstone and this creepy skeleton in the yard! P.S… Ava named him too!

To finish it up and pull it all together we added these adorable leaf wreaths and these super cute bat skeletons to the door!

And! Last but not least we threw in some fall mums and a bunch of different sizes and colors of pumpkins around the door and step! These I actually snagged at the grocery store, but you should be able to find them just about anywhere right now!

And that’s it Y’all! So easy and we threw it all together in about an hour! The hardest part was cleaning the porch and door lol! Real live scary Halloween stuff like spiders and bugs were everywhere! LOL!!

OH! Almost forgot to tell you about the budget! So my budget was $300, and we spent $298! Woohoo! Not bad considering I can repurpose the black and white throw rug and everything except for the skeletons and tombstones can actually be used in September and carry us into November! I’d say it’s a decorating win! Yay for Target!

Thank you so much! And yes! It’s such a fun look and you can always switch out the fall one with an everyday mat and keep the same look going! :))
